[edit] Summary
A stage actress, Julie wants to use her star sapphire for her upcoming play and asks for Kogoro Mouri's help to protect it after showing Kogoro a letter from Phantom Thief Kid. On the day of the theft, Kid appears at the theatre disguised up as Shinichi Kudo but ends up fleeing in the end without the jewel. To thank them, Julie invites Kogoro and everyone to Hakodate, and they all travel on an airplane to get there. In the air, one of the show actor, Shinji, who was supposed to be elsewhere and Ran's mother, Eri Kisaki, joins them on the plane. As the plane takes off, Julie comes in physical contact with most of the individuals she invited, making them all suspects to her death by consuming a piece of poisoned chocolate, a homicide later found to be committed by her makeup artist, Atsuki.
The captains were also poisoned from Julie and were not able to pilot the plane, so Shinji agrees to take over because he supposedly "took courses", and appoints Conan to assist him. Conan figures out that Shinji is Kaitou Kid when Conan is asked to assist, as this logic would not apply in a similar situation. The storm and fire at the airport make it impossible to land while the plane fuel is running low. Conan picks a stable area that can support a commercial plane. Ran and Sonoko Suzuki eventually take over piloting the plane while Kid escapes by jumping off the plane and Conan has to "go to the bathroom." Conan then switches over to Shinichi's voice and guides Ran for landing the plane. Ran tells Shinichi that she loves him but ends the moment by telling him that she suddenly sees lights at the site. It turns out that Kid went near the police and uses police cars (because this policeman is obsessed with catching him) as guiding lights to land the plane. All went well, and the movie ends with Ran talking to Shinichi over the phone again arguing about silly things, thinking that it was Kid who guided her to land the plane, and is relieved that "her secret" isn't out.
[edit] Prologue
Conan runs up to the roof of Shiodome tower, looking around for a disguised assailant. He looks up and sees an officer running up to the helipad. He follows him up the stairs, and confronts him. He knows the identity of the cop to be none other than Kaitou Kid. He takes off the disguise, and the movie begins.

[edit] Plot
[edit] The Jewel of Destiny
Ten hours earlier in the Mouri Detective Agency, Kaitou in his usual fashion sends a letter with his next crime to Maki Julie at her balcony along with a bouquet. The letter reads "In the wild fluttering of the 26 letters, I shall steal your Jewel of Destiny".
Romeo
Juliet
Victor
Bravo!
It also presents a poker card that's cut in half. Ran brings them some tea, and Kogoro gives his theory on the letter. Maki shows Kogoro the Star sapphire that's mentioned. It has three streaks criss-crossing, that represent faith, hope, and fate. She's going to use the Jewel in the new space theater that's performing "Josephine". She was Napoleon's first queen, who was a well-known rose collector. On closer reading Kogoro asks the role that Maki plays, and claims to have figured out the riddle. He says there are 3 W's and 1 H, which mean Who, When, Where, and How. Who, is obviously Kid, Where, is the Space theater Romeo and Juliet are performing. When, as he interprets it, means 'Bravo' or cheer. In other words when the audience cheers is the time line. How, as he says is the disguise, which is Napoleon as referred to by the letter as conqueror. The 'V' that the split poker cards mean is victory. When they performing 'Josephine', Kaitou will steal the Sapphire while the audience is cheering, disguised as Napoleon. Maki and Yaguchi praise him for figuring it out. Conan takes a look at the letter and notices that Romeo, Juliet, Victor, Bravo add to 22 letters not counting the exclamation mark. Maki asks Kogoro to come to the performance to aid the police in the protection of the Jewel. Yaguchi pulls out an envelope with extra ticket's so everyone can come along. Conan reasons that the letters must be using the English alphabet, and the split poker card doesn't exactly look like a V. As he looks at the letter, a pigeon outside the building watches them, and flies away.
Inside the Space theater, The Detective Boys come along with Agasa, and Sonoko. Genta looks at Conan's backpack, and thinks he brought snacks in. Yaguchi comes and greets them, and takes them to Maki's dressing room, where her stylist Sakai is drying her hair and preparing for the perfomance. Kogoro sees a picture of her swimsuit, and she says she 's just a beginner in diving. She invites him to go with her sometime. He accepts the offer with pleasure. Ayumi, and Ai go up to the counter and see a few cosmetics. They see five types of foundation, and a few other products. Sakai takes them from Ayumi and stores the rest in a bag where she stores all of it. Yaguchi open the door and Narusawa, who plays Napoleon comes and greets Kogoro, who he's a big fan of. He introduces the people that enter with him. Takima Tenko who plays Josephine's friend Thereshia, Shinjou Isao who is Josephine's lover, and the plays Supervisor, and Josephine's sponsor, Ban Tooru. Ginzo Nakamori comes in shakes hands with Kogoro. They get into a competition on who has the stronger grip. Conan knows Kid's normal method is to be disguised as someone involved. Ginzo invites a special person on behalf of Megure recommendation. Shinichi walks in and Conan is stunned by his appearance. He yells out his true identity so Ginzo pulls on his cheeks to make sure it isn't a mask. Conan surmises that because he passed, it must mean that Kid looks like Conan. Kogoro tells Ginzo that he has a plan to catch him, so Ginzo asks Maki, and everyone else to leave the room for awhile. 'Shinichi' goes his own way on the investigation. He tells Ran some comments that the real Shinichi would never admit, and tells her he's going to the roof and invites her. Conan yells out and screams, until Ran tells everyone can come along.
The three go to the roof and make sure all the doors are locked, and on the way back Ran notices Shinichi's strange behavior. Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko stare outside of the window looking at the sunset. Miitsuhiko tells Genta to find a new word beside "wow". Shinichi comes up and tells them that "wow" is a good way to describe it. He gives them a quiz like Agasa though they wonder if it will be just as lame, and asks them if they knew Napoleon. Mitsuhiko says he's the hero from France who conquered Europe.
"Shinichi's" Quiz:
On Napoleon's land, two Japanese built their houses. Which of these names are the two people?
1. Fuyuno-san
2. Furuno-san
3. Fukano-san
Mitsuhiko and Genta, try to solve the puzzle while Ran gets it immediately. Sonoko gets it right but for the wrong reason.
Sonoko's Answer:
It's Fuyuno-san and Furuno-san! Only Fukano's name has KA in it. In the the middle is KA, so it's zhong hwa. Therefore Fukano is Chinese!

"The word impossible does not exist in my dictionary."
—Napoleon Bonaparte
|
Conan interrupts and asks if they know Napoleon's famous quote. He says the riddle is derived from that. Land is pronounced 'Jisho'. "Word" can either mean the word written on the doorplate. So he says Fukano doesn't exist on my land. Ai says the corrected version of what Napoleon should have said. "The word 'impossible' only exists in a fool's dictionary." The plays opening starts, and as the lights dim, Conan sees Shinichi standing by the exit near a wall. He uses his glasses to zoom in, and observe his movements. The curtain rises and the ball begins. In the performance Ban Tooru who plays Balas-te-Pau introduces the general Napoleon, to Josephine, and Thereshia. Josephine asks Napoleon to dance. The scene fades away and progresses to Napoleon giving Josephine the Jewel of Destiny as an engagement. Shinjou's character comes in and kneels to kiss her hand, flattering her. Napoleon finds out, and as they argue Josephine faints. Conan keeps a close eye on Kid as it all happens. Josephine on her bed, thinks about the glorious day with Bonaparte, Herbert and Romeo. As she walks in the next scene with a wedding gown, Sonoko sees Ginzo and Kogoro on stage disguised as the pope thinking Kid is disguised as Narusawa. Conan looks over to Kid, and sees him waving goodbye and walks through the exit. Conan quickly follows him down the stairs, and bumps into a security guard. A second guard comes along with an unusually long baton. Conan finds it strange and tells them that the length of a baton is 60cm or below, with a diameter of 2 centimeters or below and a weight of 320 grams or below. That is the strict rule of batons in the police district.
[edit] Return of the Magician
The guard finally revealed himself as kid, and pressed a button on top of the baton, releasing a white flash of light that blinded Conan and the first guard. He runs up the stairs and takes the elevator to the roof. Conan takes the elevator next to it, and up the stairs. The play continues and Kogoro waits until the curtains are completely lowered before springing the trap. The lights turn on backstage and a slew of police with Kogoro, and Ginzo tackle Narusawa thinking he's Kid in disguise. Ginzo pinches Narusawa's cheek to find out he's the real one. The scene picks up after the prologue as Kid, and Conan are on the helipad. Conan prepares his power shoes, but Kid uses his voice to imitate Ran which distracts Conan. He fires multiple cards from his gun as Conan takes out the soccer ball. He kicks and misses. Kid shoots a final card, and when Conan dodges it he falls from the tower with Kid using his glider to save him. When Kid gets close enough Conan used his watch to tranquilize him, but failed. He then uses the backpack to release a paraglider to continue pursuit. After a quick sky chase, they land on a passing train. Conan released his glider, and after exchanging words Conan never realized he Kid was still attached to a nearly invisible wire connected to his glider high above. He flies away while Conan is left on the train.
At Haneda Airport the Detective Boys, look at the weather forecast for flights. Hakodate's going to have thunderstorms, which scares Ayumi since the plane can be hit by them. Mitsuhiko comforts her and tells her it flies above the clouds, until it lands that is. Sonoko comes dressed as her usual self. Genta tells her that the lightning god will take your bellybutton away if you wear clothes that don't cover it during a thunderstorm. Kogoro was invited to the post-performance party, because of the gemstone's safety. While they wait for Maki, the stars of the play Ban, Narusawa, Yaguchi, and Tenko tell him that Natsuki has the tough role to play, many times doing the work of an assistant. Maki, and Natsuki arrive ready to depart for Hakodate, when Ban asks Shinjou's whereabouts. Yaguchi tells him that Shinjou wasn't feeling well, and called in the morning canceling his trip. The group knows that something is going on between Maki, and Shinjou, but they all shy away from saying anything. Suddenly Conan gets the sensation of being watched by someone with murderous intent. At Hakodate Oonuma Kohan, Julie's Cabin, Ginzo stands outside in the rain with a team of police waiting to ambush Kid in action. His subordinate sees Kid's silhouette in the window. At Sky Japan Airlines, flight 865 they board the plane and Chief Attendant Shindo closes the hatch. Only Narusawa, and Mikai have empty seats. Ran looks back to see someone she invited, which turns out to be Eri. Turns out Ran once again is trying to pair her and Kogoro. Ran told her she needed an adult to accompany her since Kogoro was busy.
Kogoro gets up in anger and sits next to Maki. Eri follows him and gives Maki her buisness card just in-case Kogoro tries to harass her as a joke. Shinjou runs up to the second floor and greets them. He goes next to Maki and kneels before her hand and kisses her ring. She hesitates at his arrival, but he tells her not to worry as they'll have plenty of time to prepare once they land. Conan question's Kid's letter. Not knowing whether he actually wanted to steal the jewel or not, or if he made a mistake. He hears Genta and Mitsuhiko talking about seat numbers. Genta's seat number is 4K, Mitsuhiko's is 4J, and Ayumi is 4B. With that Conan figures out the letter's real meaning. It's in Phonetic Code, which is used in wireless communication to prevent miscommunication of letters. R is for Romeo, J for Juliet, V as in Victor, B for Bravo, etc. There also used in airline radio communications. The 26 letters fluttering in the air is a warning that he's going to steal the jewel on the plane. Since it's a flight from Tokyo to Hakodate, and the numbers 865 are not divisible by two, it means that it's not a return trip but a one-way trip. As the flight prepares to leave Maki starts feeling weak so Tenko gives her two vitamin pills. SKYJ 865 gets cleared for takeoff, and they accelerate up the runway16 until they ascend into the air.
The change in air pressure makes the kid's ears feel weird, Mitsuhiko tells them to swallow some saliva and they'll be fine. After that didn't work he tells them to hold their nose and blow to pop the ears. After the plane reaches optimum elevation they're cleared to stand, and Kogoro asks for Maki's autograph. She has no pen but Sakai passes her one. Ran and Eri furiously stare at him and Eri decides to be introduced to everyone. Ban gets up and is knocked down by some turbulence and falls. Maki helps him get up as Conan watches intently. He goes to the bathroom, without touching her. The flight attendant comes around and serves Western or Japanese deserts, but Kogoro asks for beer and appetizers. As soon as Ban gets out of the restroom, Narusawa enters, and on the opposite side Shinjou gets up and enters it, not allowing Maki to go inside. Tokyo Control contacts the captain for confirmation. Captain Ogoshi feels a bit tired due to his kid having a fever, so co-captain Nakaya orders some coffee for him. As soon as Narusawa gets out, Maki quickly gets in and out. Flight attendant Misawa goes to serve coffee to Ogoshi, and as she steps in Maki gets up and talks to him. Although Misawa tries to stop her she didn't realize that Maki resigned seven years ago from the airline. Ogoshi takes off his glove and she puts out her hand for him and Nakaya to kiss it. When she walks out to her seat Yaguchi offers her some chocolate. She takes a second to choose one, and eats it. Yaguchi also offered Kogoro some, who ate it. Maki starts to grab her throat, and seconds later falls down and dies.
[edit] Murder on SKYJ 865
Kogoro and Conan inspect the body for foul play. Conan smelled almond, which could be cyanide poisoning. They put her on a seat with covers. In order not to alarm the passengers the flight attendant tells Kogoro to conceal the incident until the landing. Eri wonders how the poison entered the body. Ban tells her it must've been the chocolates since the effects were apparently immediate. The only suspect now is Yaguchi. Eri says that since Kogoro's fine, only a portion of the chocolate was poisoned. But the chances of her choosing the poisoned one is slim unless the manager knew her favorite type. Kogoro prohibits entrance to the front restroom as well as the front seats to preserve the crime. Conan remembers all the people she's been in contact with since the flight but nothing comes to mind. Kogoro stands up and pronounces the killer to be Tenko. She denies the accusation so Sakai speaks out and says everyone has a motive for killing Maki. Ban was angry at Maki for doing all the hard work that he was assigned. This got him into many quarrels with his wife Tenko. Three years ago Narusawa agreed to have a divorce with Maki, but he still has feelings for her. He tried to win her back many times but she refused each of his advancements. She was also getting bored with Shinjou. Yaguchi was always being criticized as dim and slow, embarrassing her in front of others. Sakai is always played as a fool, and although she wished to quit, Maki stood in her way.
Conan sees Genta eat, remembering that Maki licked her fingers before. Shinjo was first to kiss the ring, but he couldn't have done it. Sakai gave her a pen to write her name with, and Ban fell down which could've given him the opportunity to slip poison in. And the final probability is when she entered the restroom, and exited quickly. Looking back at her action's he finally figures out the killer's identity and method. He gets Kogoro in the line of firing a tranquilizer, but the plane had a little turbulence which knocked him out of the way, and instead hit Eri. She falls down next to Ai, and Conan gets her body ready, placing a remote speaker on her collar. He goes to the restroom and adjusts the voice. He starts off by explaining the method. The killer knew Maki would pop her ears before coming on the plane. She used her thumb and index finger to blow her nose, since this is the method divers use, and she was a beginner. The reason she went to the restroom was because she was a famous star sitting next to a male and didn't want to be embarassed. When she came out and took a chocolate the cocoa powder got on the fingers, which she then licked, allowing the poison to enter. The pilots start to feel the effects after eating. The reason she wasn't feeling well, was because her skin was absorbing the poison through the foundation make-up that was applied before entering the plane. Eri reveals the killer to be Sakai Natsuki.
She scolded Ayumi for picking up a foundation bottle. The day she applied the poison, she needed the kids to stay away as a precaution. Sakai demanded proof. So Eri told them that checking Maki's fingers was useless since she licked off the evidence. But the make-up and sponge that were used are sufficient enough. Sakai wouldn't be dumb enough to have it on board or in some trashcan. She sent all the products back to her house. Contacting the post office at the airport would prove her guilt. After a brief moment, she finally confesses the motive. Maki destroyed her dreams. Sakai wished to become a Hollywood make-up artist. To realize the dream, she went to a cosmetic school in Los Angeles, and learned to speak English. When she returned to Japan she started working for Maki while continuing to seek employment in Hollywood. But she destroyed her dream in order to keep her as a servant. She kneeled down and started crying thinking she ruined her pride as a make-up artist. Kogoro scolds her and tells her she has no pride as one. To use something you love and are gifted with, as a weapon, is unforgivable. Conan starts to realize the ring's importance. The pilots ate the snacks, giving them a small amount of poison. They're hands were exposed at the time before Maki's death. He warns Kogoro, and flight attendant. When they enter the cockpit they find the captains struggling. The captain goes unconscious hitting the descend with his head, plummeting the plane, and disengaging the autopilot.
The attendant quickly pulls the captain out of the way, and Conan jumps on his seat and pulls as hard as he can on the yoke to ascend. After a few moments the plane returns to proper elevation and Shinjo presses the auto-pilot button. He request an doctor on board be called to help the pilots. Narusawa and Ban help carry them to the cabin area. Sonoko asks why they were poisoned. Conan tells them they both kissed her hand and when they ate the snacks, the poison was introduced to their body. The doctor hooks them up to a oxygen tanks and monitors their health. Fortunately they took in a small amount so it isn't life threatening. They contact Hakodate Control, and gives them their current status. The current altitude is 12,000 feet, speed is at 280 knots. They stop all the landings and takeoffs temporarily, and contact the closest captain to guide them through. Shinjo takes the captains seat and appoints Conan as co-captain. He tells Kogoro that the only actually piloting is done when they need to switch to manual operation to land. Everyone gets in their seats and buckle up. Since Eri's still asleep he sits next to her and helps her out. At the cockpit Conan knows Shinjou is Kid. No one else would let an elementary kid fly a plane. He also knows the real Shinjo is at Hakodate villa disguised as Kid. Maki wasn't pleased at Shinjo's arrival because she wanted him to pretend being Kid at the party.
[edit] Kid's Departure
The real Shinjo is seen fleeing all of a squad of Ginzo's men in a car. Conan asks when he plans to steal the Jewel. Kid tells him that the Jewel is a fake. A real sapphire is cold when you touch it with your lips because of low thermal conductivity. Maki knowingly used a fake one in order to attract more people to the play. Hakodate control contact them, and starts giving them instruction. They change the radio frequency to 118.35. Control tower manager Uesuki hands over the controls to Captain Shioka who can guides them to land. He tells them to press the APP button on the Master Control Panel which will enable the plane to land automatically. Kid gives control to Conan to handle the aileron and landing gear. Conan tells him he's practiced with his father in Hawaii, but that theory is quite different from practice. Shortly after the plane drops below the clouds and the city becomes visible, with beaming lights. They see the airport control. Shioka tells them to change flaps to one, then five, then ten. They activate the landing gear and change the flaps to twenty. The firetrucks arrive at the tower. And just as everything was going smoothly, a lightning bolt struck the plane causing a temporary blackout. They turn it back on using a white knob next to a panel. And they soon discover that the auto-pilot feature's been disengaged. Shioka tells them to cancel the landing and pull the control stick as hard as they can. They retract the landing gear and continue to rise. Suddenly a strong gust of wind hits the plane and it changes it's path to the terminals.
Shinjo pulls up the nose of the airplane, and narrowly just hit the control tower. A small chunk of stone comes and a tank of gas falls off igniting the trucks and moving vehicles below, blowing all of it. Each explosion triggering the vehicle closest to it. Thankfully no one at the tower is hurt, but the runway is unsafe and can't be used immediately. On Kid's end they report engine two is damaged. Shioka tells them to change the flaps to five, and change to horizontal flight, facing 180 degrees ahead. Conan and Kid agree that the only solution is to circle them until the runway is all clear. At the tower there aren't enough firetrucks to stop the consuming flames. The detective boys go inside the cockpit to inform Conan of the engine. Conan looking at the panel notices the fuel drain. The attendant comes in and says if it's the missing engine. He tells them each engine should have it's own fuel tank, but he sees that the fuel valve was open. He tells Conan to press the switch above to open the valve that separates the tank, making it one big tank. They recall Ban during turbulence hit the valve switch accidentally, and they've been losing fuel ever since. Shinjou tries to contact control tower but there's too much noise to hear anything. Ayumi brings Conan a map. With 3000 pounds of fuel left, at 300 lbs/min, the calculated time to reach a landing area is ten minutes. Attendant Shindo suggests Shijike Airport, but the risk is too much considering the amount of fuel. Sonoko asks if there are any other areas.
Ai tells her that there aren't any around, and even though there might be a farm with a runway, or an army base, the length of it must be long enough. Mitsuhiko suggest one of the big roads in Hokkaido, but the plane's tires are 11 meters apart. Roads that are 12 meters or above are obliged to place road signs an a central reservation. There's also the high risk of smashing power lines and residences. he shore's waves would cause the plane to overturn. Ayumi then remembers of place that's long, straight and clear of obstructions. It was on TV during the Ocean appreciation show. Conan looks at the different docks that can be a possible fit. Shinyi dock, Naka dock, Motoanshi dock, Mororanka dock, Seki dock are all crossed out. The only dock left would be Sakimori dock which is estimated to have a length of 1400 meters, and a width of 30 meters. Conan thinks of sticking a wing out over the sea. Ai tells him it's not impossible since there isn't enough stopping distance. The type of plane there on exceeds 2000 meters, and the ground hardness is also a factor to consider. Conan says that there aren't many passengers, and little fuel, so if they go against the wind, the distance can be shortened. Mitsuhiko remembered the weather forecast in the airport before boarding. There are going to be strong western winds all night, which works in their favor. The port stretches from east to west, so as long as they head into it they can land. Kid, still disguised as Shinjou, can't pilot the plane any longer. When the plane hit the control tower his left hand was injured and he's been steering with his right hand.
To land manually, two hands are needed on the stick, so Kid gives the control to Ran. He ask a couple of embarrassing questions like hip, and bust size. She raises the joystick and the plane rises from the descent. They take the flight path to Sapporo, which is on the way to Muroran. They change the altitude to 5000 feet to pass over a nearby mountain. Kid tells Attendant Shindo to inform the passengers of the change in flight to Schinchitose. The first-class passengers are also moved from the second to the first floor. The Detective Boys go and comfort the other kids on board while Sonoko stays to comfort Ran. Hakodate try to call SKYJ 865 but to no avail. The emergency radio isn't responding and the firefighters are still trying to extinguish the flames. Unknowingly close by Shiratori, Takagi, and Megure make an appearance near Shiratori bridge. They coincidentally came from Muroran from Sapporo. Looking down at the bridge they see the dozen or so cop cars chasing a suspect, and decide to investigate. As they approach Muroran they descend to 2000 feet, and start seeing the lights of the city. the port of Sakimori is just left of them. But the port is pitch black, with barely any light or land marks to guide them to a safe landing. Just then Kid decides to leave after seeing the police cars through a binocular. He opens the emergency exit, and takes his disguise off in front of Sonoko and leaves a farewell. "Maybe next time we can meet under the beautiful moonlight". He jumps out and heads towards the bridge.
[edit] Ran's Secret
Sonoko goes back to the cockpit and tells Conan everything. She believes he jumped out to save himself. Ran begins to doubt herself, when Sonoko gives her reassurance. She said "If we work together, we can beat a genius." She was referring to Zhugeliang who was a genius strategist during the time of war of the Three Kingdoms, but she pronounced the name wrong which makes Ran laugh momentarily. They circle around the dock to see the situation. Beneath them in a park, the police cars stop and see the real Shinjo in desperation, hanging from a fountain, and pleading his innocence. Ginzo questions his motive for fleeing. Shinjo tells him it's because he stole a watch. Just then Megure sees the real Kid gliding passed them, and go after him. On the plane Conan gets off his seat to switch with Sonoko, to go to the toilet. Of course, Conan left and hid near the emergency exit to contact Ran using the wireless communications. He speaks as Shinichi, and tells Ran he's calling from the control tower in Sapporo. But Ran is tired of him talking from afar and guiding her dangerous situations, not realizing the lives of the passengers are at her hands. She criticizes him for appearing, but only briefly before disappearing unexpectedly. Ran goes on to remember all the times Shinichi's come, and the few moments she's shared with him. She says the words he hadn't expected... "I Love You".
Lights start appearing from the docks. Conan looks below and realizes Kid's plan. It was to use the police cars LED lights to guide them below using himself as a pawn. Ginzo splits his squad into groups A, B, and C to surround kid. They go off road toward the pier scaring a grandfather and two kids who were fishing calmly. Ginzo starts looking around the dock not seeing Kid standing on a light pole staring below and leaving the rest to Conan. Conan masking his voice as Shinichi prepares Ran for landing. Their at an altitude of 700 feet, with a speed of 140 knots. He tells them to maintain a three degree descent. Sonoko pulls down the descent lever, and pulls up the flap lever. The warning lights on the plane come on to warn them of the low fuel. They fly over Shiratori bridge, and head toward Megure's location. They land on a few cars and continue forward as Ginzo's men get out of the way surprised at the thought of a plane doing such a thing. Ran and Sonoko pull the reverse stream and the plane starts stopping but at an alarming rate. Up ahead they notice a crane in the way. Shinichi tells Ran to step on the rudder with her right leg. The plane's left wing partially collides with the crane, collapsing it as the plane hits crashes thorugh concrete wall before hitting a mound of sand stopping the impact. The passengers open their eyes in safety and start cheering. Ai compliments Conan using Napoleon's quote. The word impossible isn't in his dictionary. Conan goes to the cockpit to find Sonoko, and Ran unconscious, but not injured.
After the credits, the plane is surrounded by ambulance, and we see Sakai's arrest, and the celebration of the Detective Boys. Conan spots Ran sitting near an ambulance getting her health in check. Her caretaker gives her good news on her vital stats and asks a particular question that shocks her. He asked for her bust waist, and hip size. She looks up to find Kid taking her stats. Dazed she finds it hard to scream his name. Just then she received a call, and as she looks up Kid is nowhere to be found. It turned out to be the real Shinichi. Ran questioned his call earlier on the plane, believing it was Kid in disguise fooling her again. She heard Conan scream which gave her the idea that he was still on board. But she also heard Sonoko say that he jumped. So Ran comes to the conclusion that Kid had an accomplice who jumped in his place. She's relieved that her secret wasn't out about her feelings for Shinichi. Although Shinichi asks for it, she teases him by telling him to work it out using his detective skill, and catch Kid.
